जॉन डी रॉकफेलर बहुत ही कम शिक्षित व्यoक्ति थे। किसी कारणवश उन्हेंp अपनी पढ़ाई छोड एक दुकान पर काम करना पड़ा। काम भले ही वह Book keeper का कर रहे थे लेकिन सपना एक बहुत ही बड़े व्यापारी बनने का था। अपने सपने को सच करने के लिए उन्होंाने 23 वर्ष की उम्र से संर्घष जारी कर दिया और Oil Production के व्याहपार में उन्हों ने काम करना शुरू किया। मेहनत लगन और बुद्धि के कारण वे धीरे-धीरे अमेरिका के 90 फीसदी Oil Refinery के मालिक बन बैठे। अब उन्हेंन अमेरिका में Oil Refinery King कि रूप में जाना जाने लगा। Rockefeller की गिनीती अमेरिका के Top अरब पतियों में होने लगी थी।
